Anna-Karins work has been recognized with several national and international awards. In 2025, she won Portrait Story of the Year at Årets Bild and was also nominated for Photographer of the Year. The year before, her reportage Krigets kvinnor from Ukraine earned her the Swedish Red Cross Journalism Prize and another Årets Bild nomination.

Her long-form journalism and visual storytelling have also been acknowledged with nominations for Guldspaden, Vendelapriset, and Årets Dagstidning (Photojournalist of the Year & Story of the Year). In 2016, she received a Lovie Awards bronze for the Expressen project Chefen, and in 2015 she was awarded second prize in Årets Bild for her everyday life reportage from Sweden.
